MonsterHorn Studio Client Workflow Checklist

1. Confirmation & Kickoff

  • Send contract & invoice (set expectations, secure deposit).

  • Share intake form (deadlines, formats, references, creative notes).

    Create project folder structure:

    Artist_ProjectName/

01_RAW/

02_WORKING/

03_MIXES/

04_MASTERS/

05_FINAL_DELIVERED/

2. File Retrieval

  • Send upload link (Dropbox / Google Drive / WeTransfer Pro).

  • Confirm received files open & match requested specs (sample rate, bit depth).

  • Save backup to external hard drive.

3. Prep & Organization

  • Import RAW files into DAW.

  • Save DAW session: Artist_SongName_v1.

  • Label & color-code tracks (drums, guitars, vox, etc.).

  • Check for missing plugins, request consolidated stems if needed.

4. Mixing / Editing Workflow

  • Save versions at milestones: Mix01, Mix02

  • Bounce MP3 drafts (with watermark if necessary).

  • Upload drafts to Filepass (or Dropbox) for timestamped client feedback.

5. Feedback & Revisions

  • Collect all notes in one place (Filepass, Google Doc, or email thread).

  • Clarify ambiguous notes: (“Do you mean more presence on vocals, or louder overall?”).

  • Tackle revisions in order of importance (critical fixes → creative tweaks).

6. Final Approval

  • Send final draft WAV + MP3 for client confirmation.

  • Double-check loudness standard (e.g. -14 LUFS for streaming, or per client request).

  • Confirm no clipping, no metadata errors.

7. Deliverables

  • Export & deliver:

    • Stereo master (WAV + MP3)

    • Instrumentals / acapellas (if requested)

    • Stems (if requested)

    • Readme.txt (“All files are 44.1kHz/24bit WAV, mixed for Spotify/Apple Music”).

  • Place in Final Deliverables folder and share read-only link.

8. Close & Archive

  • Ask: “Anything else you need before I archive this project?”

  • Thank the client & send socials/website link.

  • Archive project both in cloud & on external HDD.

  • Mark invoice paid in full.
